Hoi allemaal,
Vanuit een zonovergoten Burgos, hallo allemaal.
We hebben een rustdagje in Burgos en het bevalt prima na dagenlang achterelkaar te hebben doorgelopen. We zitten in een klein hotelletje aan de rand van de historische binnenstad van Burgos en genieten van de weelde om gewoon onze spulletjes niet mee te hoeven sjouwen. We hebben begrepen dat er in NL. een hittegolf was/is en dat het dagelijkse leven er aardig onder gebukt gaat. Hier is het ook aardig warm, zeker na 2 uur s,middags, dan is het lopen niet goed meer mogelijk, om die reden zijn we al vroeg op pad om voor die tijd zo,n 25 km te pakken te hebben. De afgelopen dagen waren niet buitengewoon interessant, wel door de bergen maar ook veel industrie. Het hoort er gewwon bij.Vandaag nemen we de tijd om de stad wat beter te bekijken. Zeker de kathedraal is erg indrukwekkend en neemt in de binnenstad een prominente plaats in. Verder zijn er veel kleine winkeltjes en naar het zich laat aanzien leuke restaurantjes en leuke terrasjes die schreeuwen om een bezoekje. Het pelgrmeren in Spanje is van een andere orde dan in Frankrijk. Waar we in Fr. vaak het gevoel haddeb alleen op weg te zijn is dat hier in Sp. totaal anders. Vanaf St. Jean P. de P. is het een soort van filewandelem. Het is erg druk op de Camino met wandelaars van allerlei nationaliteit. Dat maakt hetook wel weer erg leuk. Entoch vonden we de periode in Fr. leuker omdat we daar het gevoel hadden met iets bijzonders bezig te zijn terwijl we hiet een van de velen zijn. Dat maakt het toch anders. Dat neemt niet weg dat we iedere dag opnieuw enorm genieten van alle ervaringen. Of het nu een albergue is met 80 slaapplaatsen en een koude douche of zoals vandaag een lekker hotelletje met heerlijk ligbad.
We verwachten over 3 weken in Santiago aan te komen; we hebben inmiddels minder dan 500 km te gaan. Daar treffen we Lieneke en Dave en met hen gaan we naar Kaap Finistera om daar ritueel iets te verbranden, een kledingstuk of i.d. en daarmee het oude achter ons te laten en aan een nieuwe episode van ons leven te beginnen. Mogelijk dat we daar nog een paar dagen blijven maar het idee is toch om dan zsm weer naar huis te gaan. Hoe, dat moeten we nog uitzoeken als we in Santiago zijn maar het plan is om dat met de trein te doen.
Nou, voorlopig is het nog niet zover, we blijven genieten en avonturen beleven op de Camino.
